Everything you need to know about the 2024 Nissan Qashqai

The latest iteration of Britain's best-selling family SUV is here and it looks meaner than ever before.

With a full redesign 'inspired by traditional Japanese armour', the new 2024 Nissan Qashqai makes a bold statement.

Alongside this fresh look, the Qashqai gets upgraded interior tech with Google apps and a voice assistant.

2024 Nissan Qashqai design

The main stand-out feature is its new front grille which was inspired by the patterns of ancient Japanese armour scales.

If you look closely, it has dozens of high gloss, three-dimensional black elements that appear to float in the space between the lip of the bonnet and the numberplate holder. It's a very clever piece of design that brings this model into 2024 with a bang.

Above that are its redesigned front LED headlights that blend in seamlessly with the rest of the front end.

Round the back, it's broadly similar to the outgoing model but with a general tidy-up and a set of new 'boomerang' rear lights which look sharp yet elegant at the same time.

2024 Nissan Qashqai interior and tech

You'll also find thicker side windows for added sound deadening on noisier road surfaces.

The main change is with the infotainment system that now runs Google's latest software. This means it has built-in Google Maps and the ability to download further apps in the Google Play Store, such as Waze for navigation and Spotify for music.

This whole system is run on a sizeable 12.3-inch display that also has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity options.

Also added to this model is Google's voice assistant which can be used to control various features in the car. Simply say "I'm cold" and the car will adjust the temperature to suit.

2024 Nissan Qashqai engine options

a 2024 nissan qashqai engineEngine options remain unchanged from the previous model so you still get the choice of either a mild-hybrid (MHEV) setup or the ePower model.

The MHEV is powered by a 1.3-litre petrol engine that produces either 136hp or 154hp and is mated to either a six-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.

The self-charging Qashqai ePower gets a larger 1.5-litre petrol engine mated to an electric motor that drives the front wheels only. When working together, you get an EV-like experience but with the backing of a reliable petrol engine.

2024 Nissan Qashqai price and specs

The new Nissan Qashqai will go on sale this summer and will be available in five different trims: Acenta Premium, N-Connecta, Tekna, N-Design and Tekna+.

You may be wondering where the Visia trim has gone, and that's because it's been dropped for this new Qashqai in favour of starting at a slightly higher price point for a car with more features.

The starting price for a new 2024 Nissan Qashqai will be around £30,000, which is a £3,000 increase over the outgoing base model.

Don't have £30,000 spare? Luckily there are plenty of used Nissan Qashqai cars to consider on our site.
