Kia teases facelifted XCeed that will go hybrid-only from 2023

SUVs and crossovers have been the talk of the town in recent years, and Kia is continuing to move with the times by evolving its popular XCeed.

The new 2023 model will be unveiled next week as it will continue to rival Mazda’s CX-30 and the Citroën C4. From the first sight of the redesign, it certainly looks sportier, with a revamped interior in the works to go with the fresh design.

Kia has confirmed the new XCeed will only be available as a hybrid, with a mild-hybrid option or as a plug-in hybrid.

There will also be a GT-Line trim added to the line-up, which is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. The swooping roofline, gaping air intakes and aggressive-looking bumper clearly show Kia’s intention of making a sporty high-riding crossover.

We’re yet to get a sneak-peek into the cabin of the new XCeed, but it’s expected to share a similar layout to the new Niro. This has a twin-screen layout that's available with either a 10.25-inch or 12.3-inch infotainment screen.

Tech and features will naturally vary across the different trim levels, but the latest Niro offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, review-parking and parking sensors among its tech. If they go down this path, there'll be plenty to keep the driver and passengers entertained while you're out and about.

We'll be able to give you more detail on the price, the interior and what’s underneath the bonnet when it’s unveiled on Monday, 18 July, as we anticipate this car’s first makeover since it was first launched in 2019.
