What is the Volkswagen Scirocco GT Black Edition?

GT Black Edition refers to the revived third-generation Scirocco model that was introduced in 2007 and stayed on sale for nearly a decade.

This particular trim level came about in the car’s final two years on sale, so it guarantees you one of the newest and most up-to-date Scirocco models.

What are the Volkswagen Scirocco GT Black Edition specs?

There’s a pair of petrols and a pair of diesels on offer, catering to reduced running costs and reasonable performance, so there should be a model to suit most buyers.

Petrol power comes in the form of a 125hp 1.4-litre engine or a 180hp 2.0-litre engine, while two 2.0-litre diesels offer either 150hp or 184hp depending on configuration. The 184hp unit is the same one you get in previous-generation Golf GTD hot hatches.

All but the least powerful engine variant have been available with a smooth-shifting dual-clutch automatic gearbox that’s great for acceleration, but they came as standard with a six-speed manual.
