What is the Ford Fiesta ST-2?

The Ford Fiesta ST was on sale for around a decade before Ford announced that it would end the production of all Fiesta models in 2023.

In its latest form, it produced 200hp and was good for 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds. In recognition of its popularity, Ford offered a variety of trim levels for the Fiesta ST.

A used Ford Fiesta ST-2 is a mid-spec model, but it doesn’t skimp on equipment and safety kit.

What are the Ford Fiesta ST-2 specs?

Whichever Fiesta ST-2 for sale you find, you’ll notice that they all come with the same engine – a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine.

It produces 200hp and 320Nm of torque, but driven sensibly, Ford reckons it’ll do more than 40mpg.

Previous-generation Fiesta ST models came with a 1.6-litre petrol engine, but they are slower to 62mph (6.9 seconds) because they produce less power (182hp).

Used Ford Fiesta ST-2 features and equipment

Facelifted Fiesta ST-2 models sold from around 2022 came with a reversing camera, cruise control, keyless start and Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system, which runs Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

They also get sporty enhancements like stiffer suspension, striking alloy wheel designs and a boot spoiler.

Equipment levels changed over the years, especially when the seventh-generation model was introduced in 2017, so be sure to check individual listings for precise kit levels.

Where the Fiesta ST-2 sits in the Ford range

Initially, there were three versions of the fast-paced Fiesta ST – the ST-1, ST-2, and ST-3.

A used Ford Fiesta ST-2 is a good middle ground. While ST-1 models come with similar levels of equipment to high-spec versions of the regular Fiesta, ST-2 models come with a few added extras.

In the little Ford’s final years, ST-1 models were removed, making the Fiesta ST-2 the cheapest Fiesta ST for sale.
