The BMW 2 Series range can be confusing, because what was once a coupé and convertible series now has sporty saloon and people carrier options too.

Active Tourer and Gran Tourer denote the people carrier models, with the Gran Tourer being the bigger option with seven seats.

M Sport is a trim level inspired by BMW’s M performance cars, so this MPV has plenty of sporty style and a range of efficient petrol and diesel engines.

What are the BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer M Sport specs?

You’ll be faced with a lot of choice when buying a used BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer M Sport for sale, because there are so many engine options.

Petrol power comes in the form of the 1.5-litre 218i, with either 136hp or 140hp depending on model year, and the 192hp 220i, which uses a larger 2.0-litre engine.

There’s also an economical 1.5-litre diesel with 116hp, badged 216d, but most buyers opt for a 2.0-litre engine. There are 150hp 218d and 190hp 220d versions, and you can even get a four-wheel-drive 220d model.
