What is the Audi Q2 Edition 1?

Edition 1 is a relatively new trim from Audi, and it has been used to denote brand-new or facelifted models.

The Audi Q2 was facelifted in 2018 and was sold with the Edition 1 option for a short period. It’s jam-packed with plenty of luxuries, but a used model might be more affordable than you think.

A couple of powerful engine options round out the offering, but they’re still economical enough to provide low running costs without sacrificing performance.

What are the Audi Q2 Edition 1 specs?

The Audi Q2 Edition 1 was sold with a pair of 150hp engines powered by either a 1.4-litre petrol or 2.0-litre diesel. The engines are very economical, and the petrol model can even shut down half the engine when coasting to save fuel.

For performance fanatics, there’s also a 190hp 2.0-litre petrol option, but it won’t be as cheap to run as the less powerful engines.

Because this is a high-spec car, the 116hp 1.0-litre petrol and 116hp 1.6-litre diesel engines are not available on lower trim levels, but we think the 150hp options offer a great middle ground.

Used Audi Q2 Edition 1 features and equipment

This is a plush car, so expect soft leather sports seats, LED ambient lighting, stylish grey paintwork and black alloy wheels as standard.

You’ll also get LED headlights, cruise control, air-conditioning and parking sensors, plus a sporty bodykit borrowed from the S Line trim.

Some optional extras were available as an option, so look out for things like a panoramic sunroof, a powered boot lid, heated seats, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry and a reversing camera.

Where the Q2 Edition 1 sits in the Audi range

Audi’s trim levels are fairly simple to understand, and when Edition 1 was on sale, you could choose from stylish S Line cars, well-equipped Sport models and entry-level SE trim.

Other trims available include affordable Technik models, aggressive Black Edition cars and Vorsprung – a top-notch trim level that’s even more luxurious than Edition 1.

If you like the sound of a hot hatch but need something more practical, consider an Audi SQ2, which has a 300hp 2.0-litre petrol engine and four-wheel drive.
