The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross is designed to fill the gap between the smaller Ignis and larger Vitara as a small family crossover SUV that can do it all. 

This car has been around since 2013 and is a great all-rounder for families wanting a solid and dependable vehicle to get them from A to B. 

Over the years, the SX4 S-Cross has seen many upgrades, with modern iterations featuring more fuel-efficient engines, improved infotainment systems and better four-wheel drive systems. 

Its main rivals are the Honda HR-V, Renault Kadjar and Nissan Qashqai.

What are the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross features?

Inside, the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross features a very clean and modern-looking interior with the use of lots of black plastic trim.  

Entry-level model variants don’t come with a touchscreen in the centre, and instead get a DAB radio, Bluetooth, a CD player, and an aux connection. 

Models higher up the range feature a large seven-inch touchscreen powered by Suzuki’s SmartPlay infotainment system. This also has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity options. 

The SX4 S-Cross offers up to 440 litres of boot space, making it one of the largest in its class. This increases once the rear seats are folded flat, so you can store longer items while still being able to close the boot. 

What is the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross like to drive?

Current versions of the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross are available with three different engine options – two petrol engines and one diesel. 

Entry-level models come with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder ‘Boosterjet’ engine that produces 110hp, and is much more efficient than the older naturally aspirated 1.6-litre petrol engine option. 

Moving up is the turbocharged 1.4-litre engine that's mated to Suzuki’s tried-and-tested Allgrip four-wheel drive system. This engine produces 140hp and 220Nm of torque, meaning it's a real powerhouse and won’t let you down both on and off the road. 

There's also a diesel on offer that comes in the form of a 1.6-litre engine that produces 120hp and 320Nm of torque. This is the best option if you plan on doing lots of motorway driving.
