Customers thanked for helping to raise £17k for Crisis

Car buyers who purchased through leading car e-tailer cinch in December have helped to raise over £17,000 for Crisis.

cinch, the faff-free online car selling website, partnered with Crisis, the national charity for homeless people, donating a Crisis Christmas for every car sold by cinch during December.

Every year, Crisis supports thousands of people who are homeless, and 2020 was an incredibly tough year for many people, with social distancing in place and traditional fundraising more difficult, cinch wanted to support Crisis on behalf of their customers.

Robert Bridge, Chief Customer Officer commented; “With traditional charity fundraising proving difficult this past year, it was important for us at cinch that we do something to support those facing hardship through our platform and customers.

“By donating a Crisis Christmas on behalf of our customers, for every car sold during December, we have been able to raise over £17,000 and help provide warmth, companionship, and vital services to people facing homelessness.”

Jon Sparkes, Chief Executive of Crisis commented; “We are hugely grateful for your support at Christmas. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters such as cinch we were able to adapt our services so that we could still be there for the people that need us – providing a safe place to stay, companionship, food, and support – and hope for a future away from homelessness through our year-round services.”

Both Crisis and cinch are looking forward to continuing their partnership in 2021 and are working together to find creative ways to fundraise. To find out more about Crisis or make a donation visit:
