How much does the Renault Twingo cost to run?

The 1.0L petrol is the most economical Renault Twingo to run, taking into account insurance, tax and fuel efficiency.

The Renault Twingo 1.0L petrol is free to tax, as it sits in tax band A.

It does just over 67 MPG on average, which means it will cost £9.00* in petrol every 100 miles driven.

In terms of fuel efficiency, it sits between the Suzuki Celerio 1.0L petrol and the more thirsty Citroen C1 1.0L petrol.

The lower the insurance group, the cheaper a car should be to insure. This model is rated insurance group 3, which is lower than the Citroen C1 1.0L petrol, but higher than the Kia Picanto 1.0L petrol. (If insurance cost is important to you then the Fiat Panda has the lowest insurance group.)

Renault Twingo: How big is the boot?

The Renault Twingo has a below average boot space (203 litres of luggage with the seats up).

This would allow one pushchair. Alternatively you could load up with one large bag or one cabin bag instead.

Worth knowing, the Smart Fortwo coupe is the best in class, allowing for one pushchair and one large bag with its 307 litres.

Is the Renault Twingo easy to park?

Given a typical supermarket space, the Twingo is hard to park. (If you want the detail it will fill 69% of the bay). This is the widest car in the City class, and you may need to breathe in a bit when getting in and out.

When it comes to parking on the street, the Twingo is one of the hardest. It has a turning circle of 9m, and a length of 3604m, giving you a relatively small 1196mm gap to turn the car in and out.

If you don’t have a drive, you should look at the best in class for parallel parking instead, the Smart Fortwo.

Which Renault Twingo has the best performance?

The fastest Renault Twingo from 0-60, is the 1.6L petrol (if you’re a petrol head, it has 160 lbs/ft torque and 133 bhp). It hits 60 mph in 8.7 seconds.

The closest rival in its class is the Fiat 500 1.4L petrol, which will beat your Renault Twingo to 60 by 0.2 seconds. That doesn’t sound much, but in 0-60 terms it’s actually a big gap.
