How much does the Jaguar F Type cost to run?

The 2.0L petrol is the most economical Jaguar F Type to run, taking into account insurance, tax and fuel efficiency.

The Jaguar F Type 2.0L petrol costs £200.00 a year to tax, as it sits in tax band G.

It does almost 36 MPG on average, which means it will cost £16.00* in petrol every 100 miles driven.

This is at the other end of the spectrum compared to the best in class BMW 2 Series 1.5L diesel which achieves just over 74 MPG.

The lower the insurance group, the cheaper a car should be to insure. This model is rated insurance group 41, which is lower than the BMW 4 Series 3.0L diesel, but higher than the Volkswagen Scirocco 2.0L petrol. (If insurance cost is important to you then the BMW 2 Series has the lowest insurance group.)

Jaguar F Type: How big is the boot?

The Jaguar F Type coupe has a bigger boot than the convertible (it can hold 408 litres of luggage with the seats up).

This allows the coupe to take one pushchair and 2 large bags or 3 large bags. While the convertible takes just one large bag.

Worth knowing, the BMW 2 Series MPV is the best in class, allowing for one pushchair and 3 large bags with its 560 litres.

Is the Jaguar F Type easy to park?

Given a typical supermarket space, the F Type is hard to park. (If you want the detail it will fill just over three quarters of the bay). This is the widest car in the Coupe class, and you may need to breathe in a bit when getting in and out.

If you don’t park in the street that much, then the F Type is fine. It will go in to an average street slot, giving you a gap of 322mm to swing in and out. But if you street park a lot you may want to look at the MINI Coupe.

Which Jaguar F Type has the best performance?

The fastest Jaguar F Type from 0-60, is the 5L petrol (if you’re a petrol head, it has 700 lbs/ft torque and 575 bhp). It hits 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.

The closest rival in its class is the Porsche 911 3.8L petrol, which will beat your Jaguar F Type to 60 by 0.1 seconds. That’s a big gap in Formula 1, but not something you would notice in your commute to work.
