What features does the Volvo S90 have?

If you thought the Volvo S90’s exterior was classy, you haven’t seen anything yet. Inside, this luxury saloon offers some of the most comfortable seats in its class and incredible amounts of technology. 

There are two different trim levels currently available on the S90. The R-Design offers sports seats, lowered sports suspension, and an exterior black pack. Inscription models feature softer suspension, a Nappa leather interior and a bunch of more luxurious touches inside.  

Regardless of the model you choose, the S90 comes with a nine-inch portrait touchscreen powered by Volvo’s Sensus infotainment system. This system works very well and can also be connected via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Some models also come with the upgraded 13-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system, which sounds incredible. 

The luxury doesn’t end there either, because there's plenty of space in the rear row of seats and in the 500-litre boot, which is large enough to accommodate luggage for two to four people.  

Is the Volvo S90 reliable?

Being a Volvo, the S90 is a very reliable and safe vehicle. In fact, Volvo is one of the safest and most durable car brands in existence, so there’s no need to worry too much about that.

How much does the Volvo S90 cost to run?

Engine options available on the Volvo S90 are extensive and include two petrol options, two diesels, and a plug-in hybrid option. 

To make things a bit easier, all S90 models come as standard with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine but with varying power outputs and fuel options. 

The entry-level engines are the T4 petrol and D4 diesel which both produce 190hp and return a claimed 42mpg and 61mpg respectively. 

Moving up the range are the T5 petrol and D5 diesel that produce 250hp and 235hp respectively. Both offer a very smooth power delivery but the diesel is more fuel-efficient, claiming 57.6mpg. 

Sitting at the top of the range is the T8 plug-in hybrid that combines the power of the 2.0-litre petrol engine with an electric motor to produce a combined 390hp and up to 35 miles of electric-only range.
