There are two reasons why the e-tron a dependable car.

Firstly, it's an Audi, which is a byword for reliability in the automotive world, and secondly, it's fully electric. This means – in theory – there's less that could go wrong due to there being fewer moving parts when compared to an internal combustion engine (ICE).

Being such a powerful and expensive car, insurance costs may be slightly higher, with it sitting between insurance groups 43 and 50 – with the latter being the highest and most expensive group.

How much does the Audi e-tron cost to run?

You won't find any engine options here – just two battery options: 50 and 55.

The former is powered by a smaller 64kWh battery with a 197-mile range and 313hp. Opt for the 55 and you get 408hp and an 86kWh battery with a range of up to 254 miles.

Audi's e-tron benefits from 120kW fast charging, which means you can get from 20% to 80% battery in just 30 minutes. If you'd rather charge at home then you can use a 7kW wall box charger that'll take 10 hours.

Who is the Audi e-tron suitable for?
